Faking It" is the first Ethic Recordings release from newcomers The American Professionals.
The disc is an unapologetically diverse collection of songs, ranging from the full-bore modern rock crunch of the opening tune "Fade It On" all the way down to the stark, almost Jimmie Rodgers-like verses of "Big Surprise". The ever-so-slightly cynically titled record is the solo project of Chuck Lindo , who hides behind the suspiciously vague band name for kicks and to confuse the uninitiated. It was engineered and co-produced by fellow Ethic Recordings artist Patrick Conway and was custom-made for fans of harmony laden crunch pop with electronic sprinkles on top.
